My family had a wonderful stay at this property. We enjoyed the peace and the beautiful nature surrounding the cabin. The hot tub was great to relax in. Would recommend it if you’re looking for a nice relaxing place to recharge and get away.

We loved our cabin in Burnsville; the river is across the street. Despite the weather, we were able to enjoy its waters. The charming and cozy cabin is recommended for a maximum of 4 people, although the sofa bed is available. The hot tub was wonderful during cold weather. Close to many attractions in both Asheville and Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, we will surely plan a vacation there again. A 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended to enter the cabin.

My family and I are from Florida and The Chicken Coop was a great place to stay. Very secluded, but also close to your grocery needs. The place was well kept, but dogs were allowed, so there was a lot of dog hair left behind by other guests. I am a dog owner, but I do not allow my dogs into my bed which we did find hair in the bedding which I wasn't a huge fan of. If you can get past that this place is everything you could imagine. Very easy check-in process and the company was constantly in contact with reminders/updates. We did have a small issue with taking advantage of the mountain pass, but the 3rd party company handled it professionally and got us taken care of. If you're looking for this type of atmosphere this is the place to stay.

I have stayed in many 4-star hotels around the world and this place was so clean I was hesitant to use the toilet. Awesome job!

Another pleasant stay at the Chicken Coop! Even though it rained the entire time, we enjoyed relaxing in the tree tops. We plan on returning so we can enjoy the great outdoors. Cheers!

I don’t know where to begin the Chicken Coop was an amazing place. I’m relocating to the area and need a place to stay. I loved how it’s tucked back in the woods. It was peaceful and relaxing. I could even hear the river from the window and outside deck. The size of the house was perfect for me, my dog, and my boyfriend. We also enjoyed grilling on the porch. My dog loved being outside and going to the river to play. She also met some nice people that were at the river and neighbors that loved on her and were sad to see her leave. Highly recommend it and hopefully be back again!

We loved our time here at the Chicken Coop. We went to the "Rope Hole" below the house and cooled off in the river, sat around the fire pit, and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Fantastic Weekend.

Beautiful place, nice and cozy bedrooms, great view and place for entertainment on the river. Please be aware that there’s a steep road to the house and in the event of snow, you will need shovels to clear the way to be able to go out. During summer time this should be a great place to stay.

"The chicken coop is awesome! Burnsville is such an adorable small town and everyone was super welcoming . We went zip lining, we had some awesome bonfires at the cabin made s'mores and had a wonderful weekend getaway. "We LOVED our stay at the Chicken Coop! We loved the view, the privacy and seclusion! Burnsville was such a nice little town for the super adventurous hikers. We highly recommend hiking at the Green River Gorge & Mount Mitchell - amazing views of nature! "Such a cute mountain getaway. We enjoyed the quiet location and serene mountain views, especially of the sun rising over the ridge line. Our favorite part of our stay was exploring nearby towns and local shops, eating burgers at Homeplace Brewery and winding down to a relaxing cup of tea while enjoying a late night movie. "Lovely, picturesque cabin tucked up on top of a hill - the perfect mountain retreat for our family!! It is as described in the pictures - a nice, clean space with a fantastic wrap around deck. Cane River right down the road is great for fishing and swimming!! It's the perfect getaway for nature walks and peaceful relaxation. We needed a calm place to relax, decompress & rejuvenate!! Long walks, drives on the country roads, and the river - all awesome!! We will book this space again in the future!! "
