Sleepy Bear

Our family enjoyed our stay at your home. The space was well thought out and so comfortable. Beautiful home in just as beautiful a setting. It was nice to wake up and watch turkeys make their way across the property while sipping coffee on the front porch. Then to watch the deer wander out in the late afternoon and evening. We even caught a brief moment as a fox was leaving its lair in the backyard. The hot tub was a great way to end the evening. The boys enjoyed beating me in late pool tournaments in the basement. Highly recommend a stay here and can’t wait to be able to come back and enjoy some of the things we didn’t get to see.

Sleepy Bear was an awesome stay. Beautiful home, with comfortable beds and lots of room. The house is located in a lovely setting and is very quiet and peaceful. Would love to return!

Hello! We had a great stay at the Sleepy Bear. Great location and accommodations. The property is so peaceful with beautiful grounds and foliage to enjoy while sipping coffee in the morning and wine in the evening from the wrap-around porch. We even saw turkey, deer, and chipmunks! The home was very clean and beautiful. The location is perfect for the town of Burnsville and an easy drive to Asheville. A few things I need to mention - the rugs could be secured to the floor as these are a tripping hazard. We had a couple of close calls before I pulled most of them up to prevent any falls. We requested a late checkout and were very grateful this was granted to us - however, a $75 fee for 2 additional hours is excessive and feels a little petty for what was already paid. Finally, we tried to turn the sauna on and there was no power to it. We didn’t want to mess with it further to determine the issue but this was a bit disappointing to a few of us. Overall this is a great cabin.

Our family of five had a great time at Sleepy Bear! We were able to relax and rejuvenate during our spring break. The cabin is convenient to town and has tons of outdoor activities. We went hiking and spent some time in Asheville shopping and visiting local attractions. We loved the hot tub, fireplace, and game room and used them daily. The views all around the cabin are breathtaking!

This place was incredible! We went for a Girls’ Trip and wish we had booked a longer stay. We would recommend this location. I recommend arriving in the daytime… It’s stunning!

My favorite part of the property, besides the wildlife, was the 2nd living room and TV upstairs. It gave me some time to myself after hanging out with family all day.

Large covered front porch with comfortable seating and a fabulous view. Great kitchen for family meals and cozy fireplace. The game room is a hit with everyone, and so many separate spaces to have quiet time and seclusion if needed. It great parking area, and a quiet location with no 4-wheel drive needed.

Sleepy Bear Cabin is truly paradise. A perfect retreat for our family of adults, and for our toddler grandson and infant granddaughter. Quiet beauty surrounded us as the majestic mountains rose in front , to be enjoyed by the comfortable covered porch, plenty of space to run around with an active toddler, as well as a hot tub and sauna to relax in if so desired. Plenty of parking, close to Asheville which we love, and convenient to Burnsville should you need supplies. The house was above our expectations in cleanliness, as well as providing so many spaces for privacy for each family. Three comfy living rooms, pool table, dart board, and a large, spacious, open kitchen where we enjoyed conversations and laughter while we all cooked. Bedrooms we very comfortable and large, and we loved having 3 full bathrooms, one for each family. We loved Sleepy Bear which gave us the opportunity to disconnect and simply enjoy time with each other since that is rare living in NY, NC, and GA. We would definitely rent again and thank you to Carolina Mornings for incredible communications and ease of booking. The Ianzito Family

sleepy bear was amazing! Much needed relaxation and regeneration from all the stress of 2020 and covid-19. got to spend some quality time with our two grandchildren. They love the loft space and have their own space. We made memories that we all will never forget. Beautiful property and very clean! Love the privacy of the land. No luck in saying any wildlife but enjoyed the cows! Carolina mornings never left us disappointed great management company of 2021 is great for you all and hope to return soon.

"We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 1st anniversary at Sleepy Bear - we were disappointed there were no bear sightings but loved the wooden bears in the trees! This place is absolutely beautiful. The decor is lovely and the kids/adults enjoyed the pool table. We made our way to Asheville and enjoyed the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. The whitewater rafting at French Broad Adventures was the perfect seal to our adventure.
