Starry Night

What a great place! Secluded and private, it was the perfect place to unwind, relax, and disconnect. Fantastic views, and comfortable rocking chairs overlooking the mountainscape. The drive up was daunting, but you get used to it quickly. I would be sure to arrive in the daytime so you can see everything easily on your first ascent. HUGE bonus for coffee lovers - the unit comes with a nice coffee maker that can steam milk, too.

I can’t say enough about this property and would absolutely stay here again! The cabin is at the very top of the mountain and the views are panoramic. Coffee on the porch was the highlight of every morning and sunsets in the hot tub were spectacular. The house and property were exactly as pictured. The cabin has a cozy rustic feel but multiple seating areas to stretch out and relax in. The kitchen was very well stocked with gadgets and spices. Direct TV and stable internet. Great water pressure too which is sometimes hard to achieve in a remote setting like this. Do yourself a favor and watch the YouTube video of the driveway before you go - it helped me recognize landmarks on the way up so I could concentrate on climbing and navigating the steep gravel road. Well worth the effort to get up there!

This space and location exist above most other experiences on the market. It is nearly transcendent. The grounds and interior are spotless and the top of the world view is unmatched. Perfection does exist indeed.

This place was fantastic. Beautiful cabin and extremely clean. Looked just like the pictures. We loved the beautiful fireplace and the outdoor fire pit was a nightly hit. The hot tub was already pre-warmed, which made going into it so nice. The sunsets were amazing off the front porch and from the hot tub. You could not get better views - 360 degrees. It is on the top of the mountain so you can see for miles and miles. The rockers/slingers on the front porch are great. We had everything we needed to cook (you just have to bring a few paper products). Carolina Mornings was extremely responsive. We had a coffee pot that wasn't working and they had us a new one the same day. Great owners! The place was gorgeous and the surroundings even better. We used the Discovery tickets for adventures during the day. This place was well worth the price and I feel a great deal! Would stay here again!!

What an incredible place, when we arrived we were taken aback by the 360-degree breathtaking views, the little frog pond, and just the fact that we were on the top of the mountain and had it all just to ourselves, the privacy was amazing and the dogs were in heaven. A bunch of cool little paths all over and the cabin itself was perfect. We had a fire in the fireplace every night which was just amazing. And the hot tub at night with all the stars was just the cherry on top. My best friend proposed to his (now) fiancé on the porch at sunset so now this place will forever have a very special place in their lives, we will be back as soon as we can, thank you for an amazing weekend

Thanks for hosting a great weekend. As mentioned in the message from Saturday, the coffee pot on the counter doesn’t power on. There is another coffee pot in a closet, however it is disgusting. Also, when we opened the hot tub the filter canister was floating and we did not see a filter anywhere to put into it.

Once you arrived the views and the cabin were remarkable. Immaculate cabin and amazing views. The times to drive to nearby activity were also slightly inaccurate. It takes about 45 minutes to get to nearby hiking trails and certain places around Asheville. Overall the cabin was beautiful and clean however be prepared for the drive to get up to the location and be willing to drive long distances to get anywhere.

My husband and I came to Asheville for an end-of-summer getaway, and we couldn't have made a better choice of accommodation! Watching in the sunrises and sunrises was a highlight of our trip. During our time here we explored all the area, has to offer; Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, brewery tours, ziplining, and an incredible chef experience in the mountains. Peaceful, private, lovely cabin! Felt comfortable as soon as we entered. Beautiful views from the porch and hot tub! So private, but we could be in Wayneville in 25 minutes Visited Asheville, and Brevard and drove the Bluetooth Parkway all were easy day trips. You definitely want 4WD, our Toyota RAV4 AWD had no issues, and the drive is worth the mountaintop view!

Couldn’t have asked for a better Airbnb for my cabin trip. This place checked off every box for me. It was my dream cabin! The views are absolutely breathtaking. The cabin is so cozy and secluded. The hot tub was amazing. The shower upstairs has two shower heads! Everything is as described and even a little better in person. There are some board games in the closet. Lots of towels, dishes, blankets, and even some emergency winter jackets.

Beautiful views from a great location near many hikes and Asheville. The place felt private, safe, and comfortable. We brought our dogs and they loved lying on the porch and listening to all the sounds. My only comment to the owner is to fix the back storm door - for safety and sanity. To future guests, the upstairs bed was very comfortable, the other furniture was comfortable. The grill worked perfectly and the hot tub was needed after long hikes. Make sure you grab firewood for the fire pit as this is not provided.

Dreamy spot. We spent the weekend watching the sunrise and sunset from the hot tub, camping out in front of the fireplace, and exploring nature's beauty. Before my husband and I left home for our beach getaway vacation we noticed Hurricane IAN would be making landfall and ruin our time away. So my husband found this little treasure in the woods and we decided to head for the mountains after a few days before it rains. This place is super nice and peaceful. Thanks for the warning about the driveway. It is one for the books. We visited Asheville and went to the Biltmore Estate, which was very interesting. We also took a drive down to Brevard, on windy roads, and made lots of stops along the way. We wish the colors were changing a little sooner when we were here.

This was truly a magical experience. The view and location were everything we hoped for and more. Definitely read all of their instructions thoroughly, and pay attention to the requirement for a 4x4 vehicle. The driveway is no joke but definitely manageable with the right vehicle. My kids actually thought it was like some kind of Disney ride. But man is that drive worth the view!

This cabin is GORGEOUS, inside and out! The views from the deck are stunning. We started and ended most days soaking in the views. Our visit was in the spring while the lilacs were in bloom, a special treat. The pond is also a nice feature. We enjoyed the water sounds and watching the tadpoles. A great escape, not too far from Asheville and Pisgah National Forest. Inside, it’s very charming and well appointed. Very comfortable.

Best weekend getaway EVER! This cabin is absolutely amazing on every level! It had everything you needed to ensure a comfortable stay. The view was breathtaking! The beds were comfortable! The home was cozy! The fireplace warmed our souls! And nothing was better than being with friends we loved! We will 100% be back! The drive up the mountain was a bit scary, so you may want to have your groceries and plan to stay when you get up there…which we did. There is no way any of us would have gone back down after dark. But, the host did a great job with describing the road up and was very clear that a 4wd was necessary! Go prepared! Awesome, awesome time!!!

"We are three brothers and their spouses. We just left the cabin and just want to say it was absolutely wonderful. Everything was clean and cozy. The weather / temperature was absolutely beautiful -cool evenings and warm afternoons. We hiked Richland Balsam trail, drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway, did a bike tour in Asheville and ate incredible food. We spent our evenings in the cabin, it was so peaceful and relaxing. "We hiked in the mountains - visited Rainbow Falls, Graveyard Fields, biked around the North Carolina Arboretum, visited Asheville shops, Adventure center of Asheville for ropes course and ziplining. We met the deer around the house, the toad in the pond, and a turtle on the driveway. No projects or chores - just fun for this week. The kids loved the hot tub and we enjoyed a couple of fires. "We had a wonderful, extended weekend at this mountaintop cabin. What made it especially fantastic was the 2"" of snow we received Saturday. So, what do you do when it snows? Enjoy the hot tub while it's snowing, of course! Then, curl up in front of the fire! Sip some hot coffee! Play board games! We did all of that and then some! And the views!! Can't beat them. The cabin was clean and provided all the comforts you'd expect, so we didn't need to bring many extras. The property management company was very helpful and we preferred the use of their app over multiple email messages to help manage our stay. Overall, we had a great weekend and plan to visit again."

"The Starry Night exceeded our expectations! The pictures do not do it justice! The trip up was a fun adventure on its own! They weren't lying when they said we needed a four wheel drive car! Once we made it up we realized we were on top on a beautiful mountain overlooking the most amazing view you could ever imagine. The cabin itself was perfect! It had a true cabin feel with plenty of room and full kitchen. At night the jacuzzi was incredible, the view of the mountains, stars and town made for a perfect time to sit back and escape from reality. " Such a gorgeous cabin in a gorgeous setting!! The driveway was scary at first but after going up and down a bunch of times we became pros. We felt central to a lot of things and enjoyed taking that scenic route everywhere. "Indescribable! A much needed getaway before the craziness of the school year (& volleyball season) begins. Between our adventures of hiking, horseback riding, & whitewater rafting, Starry Night provided us the perfect escape with solitude, relaxation (hot tub and porch swinging & yoga for Mom and Dad) and of course - stargazing!!! We had a family week with the kids and granddaughter which was so special. Lots of bunny hunting and an egg hunt in the house because it was raining but fun anyway. Ventured into Sierra Nevada Brewery (our favorite) and a trip to triple falls for some hiking. The kids took a much needed break into Asheville on Friday and then Saturday Haywood Barbecue was delicious before the crew headed home. So blessed to spend time in our happy place. It was one of our favorite cabins in the Smokies we've rented & we come up pretty much every year at least once. Views are incredible!!! Our dogs & the hubs & I loved our stay at Starry Night! The property was sweet & peaceful. The view of the mountains from the front porch while sitting in the rocking chairs is breathtaking. I took our daughters & their husbands to the cabin for My husbands birthday & Father's Day celebrations. It was one of the best times we've ever had as a family. Great location to do other things or just a hide away if you don't want to be bothered. Hot tub was icing on the cake.

"Thanksgiving was extra special at Starry Night for us. And the name is perfect - glad I brought a telescope and binoculars. Wow, what a night sky! Even our daughter's two dogs had a great time with space to run around and nice walks up the trails. The driveway was a bit challenging for us flat landers, but we got comfortable with it (yes, we had SUV's - Subaru & Land Rover). Enjoy! We did."

We came to get away from the heat and the city of Tampa but we ended up bringing a tropical storm. The cabin is absolutely amazing and the kids had an amazing time. The drive was stunning/hill was scary. We look forward to making this a yearly vacation.

"The property was gorgeous and included MUCH more than we expected (board games, outside games, dvd's, extra throw blankets, books, kitchen seasonings, non perishable food items, cooking oils, beach towels for the hot tub etc. etc. etc.). It was these little extras that really made us appreciate what a unique property and wonderful experience this was! The man in charge of maintenance (Danny) stopped by frequently to check on us and deliver wood. He was very friendly, personable, accommodating, and helpful. We were so happy to have him visit, and greatly appreciated all his recommendations. All the details of the home/instructions were supplied to us prior to our vacation which was great, and allowed us to relax, and feel at home immediately. Our phone/internet service through Sprint worked perfect, even high up in the mountains. Overall, our vacation was incredible. We LOVED the view, and the accommodations were outstanding. What a wonderful vacation we had, much love and work goes into maintaining such a breath-taking vacation home. Thank you again, we'll definitely be back!"
