Description Description
Discover Wyndmere Lodge, a historic hand-hewn log cabin constructed in the early 1900s by the founder of Weaverville. This home has been meticulously renovated to honor the home's rustic beauty alongside modern amenities and beautiful artistry. Coming in from the wide-covered front porch, find yourself in an impressive hexagon-shaped family room anchored with the original cobblestone hearth. It's easy to imagine Thomas Wolfe, who reportedly spent time at the cabin, pulling a chair up to the fire to exchange stories with the home's founding family. You'll find beautiful antique features at every turn, including vintage wood floors, a cozy window seat, antique beveled glass doors, heart-shaped keyholes, and the original wood-burning bread oven in the kitchen. Gourmet food enthusiasts will love cooking meals thanks to the high-end appliances, a copper farmhouse apron sink, and a bright sunroom addition with breakfast bar seating. If you have a milestone to celebrate, the dining room is perfect for family gatherings. Step into the private backyard where you shall discover the awaiting hot tub ready to help you make the most of your break. The adjacent patio area offers a stone fireplace and a grill for summer cookouts. Mature rhododendrons and the surrounding woods give you the feeling that you are miles from civilization, yet Main Street Weaverville is only two minutes down the road where excellent restaurants await. Attention to detail has transformed this home from an already extraordinary mountain cabin to an exquisite lodge. Make your vacation a unique experience, seeped in mountain character and comfort at Wyndmere Lodge!

The quaint town and cozy old home.
The quaint town and cozy old home. The host is a large company that has detailed instructions for their fleet of homes, and their customer service was responsive to help fix the hot tub.

We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin.
We had a wonderful long weekend at the cabin. The location is great. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with seasonings and utensils etc. The cabin is close to the grocery coffee shop and microbrewery. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was splendid. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for sharing your cabin!

The stay was not bad and was a good place to get a getaway.
Secluded, but very steep drive and house entrance. The stay was not bad and was a good place to get a getaway.

One of a Kind Cabin
Do not miss out on an amazing opportunity to stay in an authentic 1900 cabin, with all the comforts of a modern-day home! It is one of a kind. The cleaning was pristine, and the outdoor area was the perfect place for my 2-year-old and I to hang out and be safe! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. From reading bedtime stories in the kids' room, walking in the stone path collecting fun wilderness tickets and I even got some quality mommy time in the hot tub at night! Also, this home is a not miss for a close-to-town location, literally 2 minutes from the heart of downtown Weaverville, and 3 minutes to the grocery store and wine shop! It was an amazingly convenient escape into the mountains. I hope to be back!
