Vista View Lodge

Very spacious for a large family on a long weekend for a destination wedding. Close to Asheville and many amenities. We had 16 adults. Great mountain views. The porch area was covered and nice when it rained. Loved the area and would stay again. Would suggest some hand rails for the front porch for those needing assistance. We had ages from 84 to 2 years old and everyone had their own space.

This house is great! Very big, roomy, and nicely appointed. You’re in a neighborhood but feel secluded. The outdoor seating areas are awesome. The location is great, as well. Easy drive or Uber into downtown.

My family ( ages 21 to 84 ) spent a wonderful Christmas at Vista View. Enjoyed the overall space. Played plenty of games, shot pool, soaked in the hot tube, and sat at the fireplaces inside and out. My only recommendation is to update some of the furniture and put new felt on the pool table.

We had a large group of friends come up for the weekend. The location was great, close to town but it felt like we were away from everything, especially at night. The house was very accommodating for a large group, we had 11. Beautiful views of the sunrise and the mountains. We will use this property again.

This was a perfect house for a large family gathering. Multiple people were able to cook together in the kitchen with gorgeous views everywhere you look. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to do in Asheville whether visiting Biltmore, hiking, eating out or visiting galleries.

Couldn't be happier with the amenities. A fully stocked kitchen, bathroom supplies and ample sized bedrooms made our stay very comfortable. One Nest thermostat had an issue which was quickly resolved the same day by Carolina Mornings. Would definitely return to this home, or recommend it to others.

The house was fantastic. It slept our very large group of 16 people. We had a mix of couples and singles and it worked splendidly. The driveway is very steep and we had several large pickups with trailers and were able to negotiate the steep grade and twisty turns adequately.

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Vista View Lodge. The house is designed and prepared very well to accommodate large groups. We loved the ease of checkin and checkout, as well as being provided detailed instructions for any questions that were to come up. The house is equipped with about 8 to 10 large trash and recycling bins in the garage, which really helps groups staying for a few nights. Everything in the house was as advertised, in great working shape, and labeled. This makes it extremely convenient for new guests. Thank you so much for a great stay, we hope to be back."

"Wow, what a vista!! We had the spacious master suite and enjoyed sitting on the balcony for coffee and a beautiful sunrise each morning. Our group of 12, all 55+, greatly enjoyed our 4-night stay. The deck and the dining room were perfect for gathering and relaxing in large groups, while there were plenty of spaces for cozy conversation or quiet reflection. The house is conveniently close to vibrant Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate, yet feels like a secluded mountain getaway. The bedrooms were well appointed and comfortable, each with it's own bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed and was big enough to accommodate a large prep or cleaning team. We highly recommend Vista View and hope to return someday to enjoy the spectacular view, many amenities of the house, and all that Asheville has to offer."

"Words cannot express what a wonderful time we had! We've stayed here on two different occasions and plan on making trips to stay here again in the future. The view is breathtaking and the home is so welcoming and accommodating for everyone! Whether there is a group of 12+ or just a romantic getaway with only two, this is the place to stay. The location is serene and peaceful but yet still convenient to downtown and surrounding areas. We definitely recommend experiencing downtown Asheville for lunch, the shops, and nightlife. The Biltmore is a must see and we also enjoyed traveling to Grandfather Mountain for a great experience."

"Located very high up in an easily accessible community, the views from the open main floor are just awe inspiring. An open floor plan centered around a very large and inviting stone fireplace makes for a great space to relax and enjoy a roaring fire. There is a very large and fully equipped kitchen to prepare any gourmet meal with two large dining tables to seat even the largest groups. The house is conveniently located near local amenities (grocery stores, gas, etc.) and near enough to downtown Asheville to make it incredibly convenient, yet far enough from the main road to make it feel like a secluded mountain retreat. Very quiet, very private. The downstairs has enough games to keep everyone occupied including a ping pong table, pool table, and dart board. Last but not least, a hot tub outside is always a welcome feature."

"A group of 17 stayed for the weekend as a birthday surprise for my husband. The house was absolutely perfect for our group. We really enjoyed the gourmet kitchen open to the large dining and living room. The wood burning fireplace was a treat on a cold January weekend and the views are really spectacular from the main living space. the neighborhood is very accessible, but the house itself is a climb from the main road, making it feel quite secluded. Our group enjoyed the pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub in particular. the house is close enough to downtown and very close to grocery and restaurants, but our group made the most of what the home had to offer and ate in for the most part and spent time touring the 5-acre property and the neighborhood itself. The house had so much to offer that the TV was never turned on the entire weekend! Our group had a fantastic time and we would all highly recommend this property for larger groups."

"Beautiful place. The five acres perfectly balances privacy with the security of a safe and easily accessible neighborhood. Even though man inches of snow, the roads and fairly steep driveway were clear and easily navigable. Our group of 12 (large) guys found plenty of room in the lodge. Common areas are very spacious an very well laid out, kitchen accommodates all your cooking needs (pots, pans, flatware, utensils all provided), bathrooms are beautiful, and outdoor spaces flow nicely. To (and a half) refrigerators provide ample storage space, ping pong table/pool table well-maintained. Hilltop perch provides unbelievable views from inside and out. All appliances (hot tub, heater, grill, etc) in good working order. Quick drive to airport and downtown, as neighborhood sits close to main roads. Owners and agents are incredibly easy to work with, attentive, and responsive to all questions or concerns. there is really nothing lacking on this property. I would highly recommend this property for a large group, and will certainly be considering a return trip."

"We just spent a week with our whole family at this spectacular house! It's in a beautiful location with fantastic view and it was great fun to stand on the porch and watch others arrive, looking up at us on our perch on the hillside. There were bedrooms aplenty for everyone, and those with small children were able to escape into their own quarters at bedtime and in the wee morning hours. the kitchen was well-stocked and several cooks got into the act. The house offered everything - pool, ping pong, darts, a hot tub, a grill, a fire pit, steps leading up the hillside behind the house to a sort of undefined woodland path (great for a 5 year old!), pileated woodpeckers pecking right outside the window, turkeys (or quail?) sleeping in the trees. it was a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the environs of Asheville. Our ages range from 69 to 8 months old, and the dog had a great time too! We'd love to make a repeat visit."

Not super close to downtown (15-20 minutes drive?), but in a nice quiet neighborhood, minutes from several grocery stores and places to eat, and convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore. "Great stay! Beautiful house with everything you need for a large group - kitchen has great space and everything you need to cook your favorite meals, multiple refrigerators, and plenty of empty cabinet space. Two dining room tables, two living rooms, large foyer with even plenty of spaces for everyone's shoes! Two laundry rooms meant we came home with suitcases of clean clothes. Great deck with a beautiful view - we even saw two different rainbows right from the hot tub. Easy drive into Asheville or any of the many things to do around Asheville, and a quick drive to any store you need. No stores or playgrounds within walking distance. Driveway was super steep - probably not good for bikes unless you walk them up. We have 3 young children (5 and under) and the property afforded them lots of space inside and out to explore. They also enjoyed the ping pong. This house was very nicely furnished and clean. "

"I spent two superb nights at this wonderful home in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville. The home is situated on the top of a small mountain with excellent paved access and spectacular 180-degree panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Valleys. To wake up in the morning and enjoy breakfast on the deck (next to the hot tub) to a sunrise with mist in the valleys and sunlight on the mountain peaks is truly breathtaking. The home is very tastefully designed and decorated with spacious great rooms, comfortable bedrooms, and a modern granite kitchen. We had a terrific time and would highly recommend this to our family and friends."

The views here are incredible. As soon as you walk in the door you are staring from a perspective that seems like it's from an airplane. the house sits high up on a ridge so that it is secluded yet surprisingly easy to get to. There are many great restaurants nearby and you are reasonably close to the airport and downtown. Couldn't have asked for a better retreat for our weekend getaway.

"My family had the most wonderful visit. The house is situation beautifully with spectacular views. The interior is spacious and well-appointed. Our group included 4 couples, 2 toddlers, and one baby, and we had plenty of space with the 5 bedrooms. The upstairs has an amazing master bedroom and another nice bedroom located near one another, which is where we put the couples without kids. Downstairs, the 3 bedrooms are grouped on either side of the house with lounge space between, so the couple with a toddler and a baby had the one side with 2 bedrooms and my husband and I and our toddler used the bedroom on the other side. There were so many of us in the house, yet there was enough space and privacy that everyone slept well. Also, each group had it's own bathroom, which was a wonderful plus. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could need to cook, including a cappuccino machine, which we loved. We also really enjoyed the numerous lounge spaces from the main living room to the downstairs family room, pool room, and ping pong area. It rained most of the weekend, so we hung out at the house a lot. One of my favorite aspects of the house was the LOCATION! It is situated high on a mountain with gorgeous views and trees all around. Yet, there was an Earth Fare, Publix, and Ingles within 5 minutes of the house. I am amazed that we cuold feel so far in the mountains and yet be so close to civilization. It was so easy to get into downtown Asheville...just 15 to 20 minutes. My family kept saying that we would need to return sometime soon, as we really had a wonderful time."
