Retire to the sumptuous mail level bedroom suite, featuring a queen bed and double door access to the bedroom and the deck. The attached bath has an accessible shower featuring a no-threshold entrance, double shower heads, and a built-in bench. The lower level "bunk room" is popular with kids and the young-at-heart. So happy to have found this gem.
So happy to have found this gem. Rented for a family rafting trip and we were minutes from the put-in spot. The place was immaculate, kitchen was fabulous for cooking family meals. Lots of space to spread out and have quiet time but great for gathering for meals. Amazing views off the porch. Spent most of our time there. On a clear night, there were so many stars! The young adults made great use of the lower-level game room. I stayed in the master bedroom - the pillows and bed were so comfortable. You will not be disappointed with this find. We are planning on returning

We had an amazing time at The Lodge at the French Broad!
We had an amazing time at The Lodge at the French Broad! The cabin was not only beautiful but also perfectly equipped for both teens and adults to have a blast. The atmosphere was serene, and the surroundings were breathtaking, making it the ideal place for creating lasting memories with family. The cabin itself was spacious, clean, and cozy, with all the amenities we needed. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, from hiking and exploring the nearby river to relaxing by the fire in the evenings. The teens loved the game room and outdoor adventures, while the adults enjoyed the peaceful ambiance and stunning views. The Lodge at the French Broad is truly the perfect place for family gatherings. We left with hearts full of joy and memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and relaxation!

Mountain majesty
This is a truly special retreat. An excellent combination of tastefully done decor with very usable spaces, the Lodge is a peaceful and joyful place for families and friends who crave refined living married up to the great outdoors. Well thought out amenities we all enjoyed. The most special part that doesn’t come through until you see it live is the view. I couldn’t capture a picture of it that would do it justice. Truly beautiful, sweeping views of the river valley and mountains.

Amazing location with everything you could want.
Amazing location with everything you could want. Quick trip to Asheville and for being so secluded up in the mountains, it was surprisingly close to groceries, a golf course, food, etc.

The views, amenities, decor, and functionality of the property were excellent.
The views, amenities, decor, and functionality of the property were excellent. If you want a retreat from the hustle and bustle but also don't want to sacrifice luxury, this is the place for you. The kitchen was well stocked for just about any contingency, the sitting areas are very comfortable both inside and outside the house. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are modern. The gas fireplace inside is easy to operate. Wifi was speedy. Add in the hot tub, and fire pit, plus plenty of games, something for everyone. Views of mountains and rivers below make this a special environment. We have no plans to be back in this area, but the house may have just convinced us to find a reason to.

We took eight adults, two teenagers, and two children to this wonderful mountain retreat for a week. There was plenty of space and plenty of amenities at the property. The kitchen was well stocked. Lots of entertainment, options, including a hot tub. Everything was well-maintained and modernly furnished. Communication was excellent from the host, and I would highly recommend anyone staying in this place. If you’re looking for a large, updated mountain cabin, with fantastic views, and lots of privacy, this is your place!

We loved staying at the upper deck to soak in the views. But the kitchen is a close second favorite.

I brought my girlfriend and her entire family there to spend a week with each other and to ask for their blessing in marriage. This home was beautifully well-maintained and worth every penny spent. A perfect place to propose to my now fiancé.

Awesome house, loved the furnishing everywhere.
Awesome house, loved the furnishing everywhere. Very comfortable downstairs couch. The hot tub was on when we got there and took a bit to fully heat up but definitely fun and worth it. Loved the overall atmosphere of the home. Great kitchen, lots of seating. The views were amazing just from the front balcony. Stocked with board games, huge plus. Almost every bedroom except one, has its own attached bathroom. The backyard patio was a great vibe just could use some more seating.

his place exceeded our expectations.
Our family came together from four areas in North Carolina to spend time in the mountains ages from 8 to 77 years old. This place exceeded our expectations. The joy that it brought to the boys was amazing. We used every aspect of the house - games, hot tub, and grill, It was so spacious and we had fun just finding each other. Thank you for providing us with a five-star experience.

Perfect for our large family of 8 adults.
Wonderful home. Perfect for our large family of 8 adults. Loved the main floor space and a large kitchen where we could prepare meals and gather around a large dining room table. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice. Games in the basement, corn hole, hot tub, and fire pit were great options for entertainment of all ages. If we have to be back in the area we would book again and stay longer to enjoy all the amenities that the owners left for us. Used their notebook of area restaurants to select dining options. Great view of the mountains from the back porch and sunset and saw why they call it Smokey Mountains as the mist rolled over the valley after a storm. Great time.

A peaceful getaway that I would stay again.
My goodness this home was beautiful, well appointed, and the views are amazing. It had everything you could need. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms spacious. The only downside is the roads leading to the property are extremely narrow with sharp turns, and there is very little close by in terms of food, shopping, etc. I would definitely stay here again. It was a peaceful getaway.

Great Mountain Home!
First, I emailed a few times leading up to our stay and once during our stay and received responses quickly from the Carolina Mornings team! Also, read ALL of the info they send (very helpful for things from finding the house to amenities). One note- might not want to stay here in winter, unless you have a vehicle well equipped for a very steep driveway. The Lodge at French Broad was perfect for our group of 8, beautiful inside and the beds were comfortable, everything was clean, the kitchen well stocked, huge double washer and dryer, plenty of space to find a nook to read, a large dining table for meals (we hired a private chef one night!) and game night. Great balcony overlooking the mountains!! The hot tub was ready for us and everything was perfect during our stay. It was about 25-30 mins from downtown Asheville. Not a problem for us as we stayed in mostly but did go into town for shopping and lunch. :) We also drove down and took a walk by the rive, just down the road. Very relaxing mountain retreat! We had a great time and can't wait to be back.

It was an amazing house and view.
It was a fantastic house and view. Loved spending time in the house and outside by the fire and hot tub with friends. Amazing quiet remote property, with a lot to do inside and outside the home. Be warned that the driveway is extremely steep and you would not want to go up or down in snow/ice. However, the house is perfect and everyone enjoyed their stay!

We’ll definitely be staying there again!
This house is absolutely stunning! It is tucked in the mountains so it provides the perfect retreat from the real world. It’s only 2-3 minutes from a gorgeous river where people were rafting, painting, and relaxing. You can even hear the river from the porch! It is so peaceful and the view from the porch immediately calms your soul. We stayed at this house and drove into Asheville a couple of times during our stay and the drive is not bad at all! So it’s still a great option even if you want to visit Asheville. The only thing I will say is the driveway is a bit steep but the view at the top makes it all worth it. We can’t wait to go back and if this house is available for our next trip back, we’ll definitely be staying there again!

This home was exactly as it appears in pictures and offers fantastic views. The layout is perfect for two families or a group vacationing together. We also loved the fact this rental came with complimentary passes to local attractions and we took advantage of that when visiting the Biltmore - a great perk, for sure! We suggest looking into that in advance to see what options you have.

Amazing house with large spaces
The house has everything large families need. It has a very well-equipped kitchen, perfect bedrooms for all to fit in and the large spaces are the best. The main living room, the dining room, the outdoor fireplace, and the playroom are just excellent places for the family to be together. The majority of the house is very well maintained and clean, except for the ground level. There we found the TV couch with popcorn and dirt, the rooms were dirty, and the furniture on the deck looked like hasn't been cleaned for a long time. We couldn't use that part of the house. The house location is very good. You can find some nearby outdoor trails at a 15 to 20 min distance. Asheville is 30 to 40 min away, which is fine. It has local stores nearby to buy groceries and stuff.

Plenty of room for the whole family
This home is even more beautiful in person! The view is spectacular and the home is immaculate. Plenty of room for the whole family, and tons of entertainment for my teenagers. Perfect amount of seclusion, but still within 10 mins of a grocery store. We will definitely plan to stay here again!

Amazing Vacation Rental
I love the Lodge at French Broad! Have spent two family/framily holidays at this gorgeous, spacious property. It is pristine clean, simply but beautifully decorated. Perfect for large family gatherings or get-aways with friends. Half the bedrooms have a private bath and the beds are super comfortable. With 3 floors, there is plenty of room to have several activities going on simultaneously whether you want peace and quiet, or social fun. Wifi worked great. Game areas, large outdoor pergola with hot tub, two indoor and an outdoor fireplace and firepit were perfect for gathering together. Kids loved praying in the woods behind the lodge. Huge kitchen with all the appliances you will need to cook big family meals, or eat out in nearby Asheville. The Appalachian trail and several white water rafting options are near by as well. Or hike up & down the driveway for a good workout. Big grassy area across the street on the river. I love everything about this place! & Pet friendly is a plus.

So well decorated
I’ve stayed at this gorgeous home and it is a home to never forget!! The views stretch for miles and there is a river no even 5 mins down the road. Being there is so peace full and calming. The house is enormous and the floor plan is so well thought out! There are so many bathrooms I can’t count! There is a beautiful bad yard with gorgeous fresh grass, as well as a out door living space with a hot tub and corn hole! I highly recommend this gorgeous home for a week stay in the mountains:)

Family Christmas
Wow! It’s a great place to come to get away from the fast pace of life. The views are awesome on the way and also from the front deck. The outdoor space is fabulous, we had a fire in the back sat around and talked. My husband and I were in the main floor master suite and had our own outdoor seating on the deck. Very nice! I love to cook and the kitchen is big and well stocked with lots of dishes and great appliances and pots. The ingles grocery is on the way in, it’s the perfect place to stock up on the good food. We enjoyed the hot tub and there is corn hole on the pergola and swing chairs too. The hill is steep but it’s a great walk to the river! We enjoyed the pool table on the lower floor and ping pong etc. It was a great time with family, or any group. Oh don’t forget the Appalachian trail is close by with great opportunities for hiking. We go to the little town of Hot springs to hop on the trail. It’s beautiful!! You will not regret this trip!
