The house was wonderful and had plenty of space for the 12 people we had staying.
The house was wonderful and had plenty of space for the 12 people we had staying. Was very clean and tidy. Speaking of the kitchen it has every appliance, kitchen tool, etc that you could think of which was a huge plus since we're a family that likes to cook a lot. Kids loved the bunk beds and having their own private space downstairs along with the games. The master bathroom was a bathroom you see in an episode of Cribs. Was huge with heated floors, a very big shower, tub, and double vanity.

Our group of 9 adults had a wonderful stay at The Alpine House.
Our group of 9 adults had a wonderful stay at The Alpine House. The large common areas easily allowed our group to all hang out together in both the main living room and the basement living room - both are very cozy spaces. The kitchen is well equipped with cookware and we appreciated having the ability to use a second fridge in the basement. The bedrooms are wonderful. Spaced far enough apart from each other to give each individual or couple space when needed with comfy beds and linens. The surrounding property is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. This is a great location if you're looking for an updated and well-appointed home that provides a lot of privacy! Unfortunately, the outdoor deck furniture was dirty and soaked completely through with rainwater from a storm the night before arrived so we were not able to comfortably or collectively spend time on the deck. It was surprising to us that a cover wasn't in use with the outdoor sofa sectional, especially in such a grand property. It would have been wonderful to spend more time on the spacious deck. All in all our group was very happy staying at The Alpine House. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in Asheville, be ready for the drive up the mountain from the entrance gate (especially late at night), but enjoy the serenity of your surroundings!

I would highly recommend this wonderful house.
I would highly recommend this wonderful house. It was beautiful and clean. The deck overlooking the gardens and trees and the kitchen were places we spent the most time. We had 10 people in the house and it was comfortable enough but it would have been better for a few couples that could share beds. Additionally, the hot tub was nice but a little small, it fits 2 people comfortably. I wasn't a fan of having to use an additional portal to get rental information but it's not enough to knock it down from 5 stars.

We had a family reunion weekend at the house with 10 people.
We had a family reunion weekend at the house with 10 people, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. Luxurious house in a very private setting with a spectacular view of the mountains. Both downtown Black Mountain and Asheville are only minutes away.

The Alpine House was perfect for our multi-generational, extended family vacation.
The Alpine House was perfect for our multi-generational, extended family vacation. The home is sprawling--there was space to gather and also enough space to spread out. The kitchen was well-stocked and met our needs. We ran into one problem with the hot tub, but the hosts promptly returned our call and sent out a maintenance worker right away. The location is peaceful but feels a bit remote, so we planned one outing each day; we'd return in the late afternoon to relax, eat, and play games. The town of Black Mountain was quite nice as well. I'd recommend this home to others!

We had such a lovely stay here. The house is just immaculate. It’s perfect for multiple families going on a trip together. We enjoyed the 30-minute trip to Asheville and found lots of cute spots in Black Mountain as well.

Very happy with our stay and hope to come back again soon.
A beautiful retreat in the mountains. Spacious yet comfortable, with beautiful views from inside and out. The main kitchen and dining areas were huge and great for a large gathering of family. The master bedroom was grand and the master bath was awesome with the hot tub and shower. Very happy with our stay and hope to come back again soon.

The house is spectacular and was clean and exactly as described in the listing.
Great stay in Black Mountain. The house is spectacular and was clean and exactly as described in the listing. Good communication ahead of arrival, including warnings of losing cell service/GPS with written directions to avoid any issues getting to the house. Our multi-generation family stayed here and everyone was comfortable. Our kids loved the bunk room. The adults all had private and comfortable bedrooms with nice bed linens and throw blankets. We cooked most of our meals at the house and found the kitchen clean and well-equipped. Included in our stay was a pass to several local attractions, including one adult pass to the Biltmore which saved us $100. A definite perk! This place is awesome. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay so very much.
A truly lovely home. We enjoyed our stay so very much. Everything we needed was available. We had a small issue with the fireplaces, but it was addressed quickly and taken care of. I would like to see a book with all directions for checkout placed in the cabin.

There was plenty of room to spread out, but also enough room to come together.
Although this was a drive the location could not have been better! The accommodations were perfect. There was plenty of room to spread out, but also enough room to come together for meals, outdoors by the fireplace and to gather in the living areas. Heated floors in the bathrooms were a huge hit! The gourmet kitchen was so nice and cooking for many people was a pleasure. Would surely recommend it and would love to stay again.

It is massive and everything is decorated beautifully.
The house was incredible. It is massive and everything is decorated beautifully. We had 7 girls for a bachelorette and it was more than enough space. The view from the deck is gorgeous and so peaceful. I really appreciated the proactive communications, host responsiveness, and flexible check-in time. We had an issue with one of the bed mattresses and they came to fix it immediately.

We did not leave the house all weekend!
We loved staying here! it was 10 college girlfriends reuniting for a kid-free/spouse-free weekend. The house was perfect for just that. We did not leave the house all weekend. From the gourmet kitchen to the separate living spaces, the hot tub, and the back patio, we really enjoyed it all! We plan to be back next year!

Our families had a terrific time here in Black Mountain! It was a wonderful space, just like the photos, that served as a great home base for our stay-cation and as we explored neighboring Asheville (30min drive). The house was well prepared, cleaned, and stocked ahead of time. The kitchen was well-equipped and we ran into no issues when cooking/grilling meals.

Gorgeous, and Comfortable Home
We will definitely be re-visiting this home. It is not only beautiful, it is also comfortable, and has everything you could possibly imagine needing. Driving up to the house I was in awe of the views, and thrilled with the many high end amenities offered . The heated bathroom floors were the perfect touch after an amazing shower. It is also close to some amazing restaurants and fun little shops. The owner has even thought of everything for kids, they also can not wait to go back. I'd take the Alpine House over Disney any day!

Cozy, Immaculate Views, Skiing Nearby, and Hot Tub
The house is absolutely stunning and gets a whole lot better as soon as you see it in person! It’s unbelievable that a place like this exists and so worth the cost! We found ourselves spending so much family time at the house with its cozy and spacious rooms, immaculate views overlooking the mountains, and incredible amenities (hot tub was such a win!). The proximity to the nearest town is only a 15-minute drive away where you can find local shops and eateries. It’s also very central to Asheville, the Biltmore estates and nearby skiing resorts. After showing pictures to my friend’s, they’ve immediately asked for more information about the place. It’s the perfect spot for the perfect North Carolina getaway.

Very Clean and Cozy
Loved, Loved this house for my 4 family meet up spot/getaway! ! The company thought pretty much of everything even had plastic plates for the kids and access to streaming services. Very clean, cozy, and Spacious. The kids adored the game room / space downstairs and adults craved over the space and showers and hot tub. It’s way up there in the mountains so if you are traveling during winter months make sure you have great tire traction.

This place is amazing, absolutely what I expected based on the photos. If you are considering this spot, book it! I would absolutely stay here again. The host was great and very responsive to any questions I had.

To awake in a house so serene and so welcoming, Is exactly what we needed. We stayed at the alpine house with our close friends, their kids, our kids, my parents and my friend's parents and with all those people, it was still an amazing time; spacious; very nicely decorated, but more important I felt cozy and welcomed. There are not many places you can say that about, while you have 11 other people with you. The hikes around the property and area, the cute places in town, the local recommendations (love the support they show to local businesses) and more. Would definitely stay here again.

Luxurious mountain retreat
We were fortunate to snag this rental for our spring break vacation and it was BY FAR the most incredible property we've ever vacationed in, and we are avid travelers. The house is huge and gorgeous and is clearly professionally decorated with chic accents throughout. Besides everything you'd want in a house, such as big, comfortable beds, a comfortable oversized couch and clean updated bathrooms, this house has a lot of fun extras such as a giant soaking tub that faces a fireplace, fun games for kids like foosball and basketball, a Peloton(!!!) and even a second kitchen, which my mother in law ADORED for her quiet tea time. The location is incredible, with gorgeous mountain views, a creek, and an adorable town nearby which we loved exploring just as much as we did Asheville. All three generations of our family kept pointing out various things they loved about this very special property, and we cannot wait to return.

Peaceful and Beautiful!
We had the most wonderful stay at The Alpine House! Everything about our time there was just wonderful. From the moment you pull up to the home you can hear nothing but the sound of the nearby stream on property. Our kids loved playing in the water! The house is so welcoming, cozy and charming. It was well decorated, with all brand new furniture and fully equipped kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable and the thoughtful touches made it feel like a home. The house has so much space for everyone to spread out but plenty of gathering spots too. Evenings stargazing by the fire after a soak in the hot tub were just perfect.
