The cabin was great.
We stayed at 792 McDaris Loop Rd, a property owned by Carolina Mornings. We had 4 people and a dog. The cabin was great. It has a lower level bedroom/apartment also, perfect for our traveler with a dog. The scenery was spectacular. The cabin had everything we needed, a well-equipped kitchen, linens, grill, board games, pool, ping pong, and a jacuzzi. Make sure you go to the grocery store before settling in, it is about 30-40 minutes to a grocery store. We loved our stay and would do it again.

What a treat!
Last week before the school year started Tropical Storm Debby shifted our plans from Hilton Head to Mars Hill! What a treat! While our stay was short, we had an amazing getaway. Wish we had more time but thankful for the adventure. Back to Charleston!

We had an incredible stay at this cabin for our family vacation.
We had an incredible stay at this cabin for our family vacation. Traveling from Homestead, Florida, we couldn't have picked a better place to call home for the week. The cabin was stocked with every common item we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. Our favorite things were the hot tub, the comfortable beds, and the plush pillows. Anytime we had a question, the management company responded quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend this cabin and look forward to staying here again the the future.

Highly recommended for its location and beautiful surroundings!
Great location and beautiful views - the only drawback is the upstairs and downstairs are not directly connected, but it is a minor quibble. Highly recommended for its location and beautiful surroundings!

The sunsets were beautiful!
The sunsets were beautiful! We had a great time hiking, playing games downstairs, soaking in the hot tub, and exploring nearby towns. What a lovely experience! If you get a chance, take a stroll around Burnsville, Mars Hill, and Waynesville (which also has an alpaca farm - fun!). We enjoyed them as much or more than Asheville.

We loved staying in this house!
Thank you for our stay. The weather was great. Snow fell, and snowboarding and hiking were perfect. The views are great too. The coffee maker could use some filters. The dogs loved the snow. Happy New Year.

We had a wonderful stay and wanted for nothing while at the cabin.
We had a wonderful stay and wanted for nothing while at the cabin. It was so well-supplied and cozy! We were a little lost at first with the third room being separated from the main home area. This was a surprise to me. We made the best of it, and I'm sure my boys enjoyed having a 'place of their own.' From the balcony, we enjoyed many deer and bunnies. And the ever-changing view was always spectacular. We had friends visit us and they were just as impressed and suggested we rent the house again for us to get together in the future. We leave tomorrow, have a few other stops for the holiday, and go back to Florida but we were already thinking of joining you again in your lovely home for a Christmas Ski holiday! The location couldn't be better! Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Amazing Cabin
This Cabin was perfect!! It has amazing views, specially the sunset behind the mountains from the cabin's balcony. Also it has everything you need to stay!!. We saw deers, chipmunks and different birds species. The cabin also has games that we enjoyed a lot: jenga, pool and ping pong. I did a part of the Appalachian trail which is really close to the cabin. Is the perfect place to stay!!!

Stunning view, and every creature comfort imaginable
Firstly, the cabin is amazing. Every morning, the view across the mountains greets you, along with roughly 10,000 adorable and happy little chipmunks! (And deer, and groundhogs, etc) Both floors have full kitchens, fireplaces, washers-dryers, etc. The game area downstairs is perfect for after dark. The hot tub and fire pit are also nice amenities. In the daytime hours, the sights are peerless. You can walk from the front door, to the top of Big Bald Mountain. (Easy hike, for even the casual hiker) Also within ready walking distance, is a trail that leads you past stunning viewpoints, babbling brooks, and whatever woodland critters happen to be active about. This trail, if you are feeling adventurous, connects to the famed Appalachian Trail. Nearby, are a few quaint little mountain towns, with wonderful restaurants, and of course, provisions. There is hiking EVERYWHERE. It's like a hand-grenade-of-beauty. There is even a golf course on the mountain, that allows walk-ons. Nearby Asheville, has food, art and culture to explore, as well as...MORE NATURE! One week wasn't nearly enough time to explore. I'll be coming back.

Overall we had a wonderful stay.
Overall we had a wonderful stay. We booked hoping to be very close to the ski resort, but unfortunately, it was closed. We ended up going to Sugar Mountain which is only about an hour away. We were so excited to get some snow over the weekend. The property was very beautiful and peaceful. The game room and hot tub were a great addition. I wish we had a chance to use the fire pit. Our family enjoyed our time here including our two dogs.

The view was wonderful and it had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
We had a great one-week stay at this cabin. The view was wonderful and it had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub and pool table were an added bonus. The ability to use the pool/ community facilities was also an excellent touch. If you are wanting a peaceful stay in the mountains, this is the place to be. We enjoyed day visits to hikes and waterfalls although the ones we chose were a bit of a drive. This was fine for us though. On days when you just want to chill, the cabin and small community center had everything you need.

On-Site Trout Fishing, Hiking & Exploring!
We enjoyed Wolf Laurel Resort and the surrounding Mars Hill Area. The location was absolutely gorgeous! Sunsets beautiful and landscape was stunning. We had both units and it fit our family of five very comfortably. Our family enjoyed the onsite trout fishing, hiking, exploring, and all the amenities offered at the resort and at the Sundance View 2 story home. The pictures were very accurate although in person, this location is even more breathtaking!! We hope to return again next summer for another fun filled family vacation! We also took advantage of the Biltmore FREE adult admission included with our stay and wow, what an experience! Thank you!!

The astounding view and sounds of nature, hot tub, fire pit, pool/billiards and putter ball. On Friday we watched a cloud front envelop the mountains, just as special as the peak on Big Bald. Then you for an amazing week.

Skied During Christmas
My sister and I went skiing for the first time at Wolf Ridge. According to some local snowboarders, the resort blasts snow starting in November so that there is always snow to be skied during Christmas time. However, I think the uncommon snowfall allowed for excellent powder. I immediately took a liking to snowboarding and was invited by others to come back in January when the best slopes open up. We finished each night of our stay with wonderful dinners prepared by my Mom and co-prepared by the excellent dishware in the kitchen. Spending our last day hiking a nearby leg of the Appalachian Trail, I was immersed in a natural world far more beautiful than any I’ve ever seen. I’d recommend this area for anyone to experience and I have a feeling we will be returning shortly.

Beautiful place to work remotely from
We stayed here recently and had a great time. The views were amazing and the cabin was nice. Since I had to work remotely while there, internet access and speed was super important. I was worried about connectivity issues because of the location but everything worked flawlessly. There was never a lag or disruption in service. I was able to do everything I needed to including attending Zoom meetings. On that note, I will say, this was on the primary floor of the cabin. We didn't use the lower floor but did check the internet speed and it was fine but not as good as the top floor.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sundance View!!!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Sundance View!!! The location is perfect, offering you great views of the mountains and allowing you to be up close with nature in a serene environment. The cabin was spacious and well stocked with supplies and goodies to get your stay started. We enjoyed access to the grill on the deck and the bottom level with its private, separate entrance allowed us to be together with the others in our party yet maintain our privacy, will definitely be booking again and would recommend to anyone that wants a scenic, Mountain View!!

The property at Sundance View was beautiful, spacious, and serene!! We had an excellent Mountain View and plenty of quiet moments. My favorite part was the outside deck that allowed us to relax, take in the sight of deer and enjoy a good barbecue on the grill

Beautiful area!
Loved our stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The downstairs was awesome. It's a complete home in itself with kitchen, laundry. Pool table was a blast. Corn hole and little putt putt game too. There is also a little private room with good sound system and we hooked up our phones for music. Hope to come back.

Clean & Cozy Stay
Sundance View is a gem and offers both solitude and all the amenities of the community. While relaxing on the expansive decks enjoying the beautiful sunsets, you feel like you're in the middle of nature with the sounds of rustling animals and leaves. The Appalachian Trail is easily accessible by foot and is such a unique treat for those who enjoy hiking. We loved that each of the three bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom allowing for privacy and making it great for three couples or families with older children. The house was clean and spacious, and everything we needed was available and easy to find. It was such a great stay that we were sad to leave.

Perfect stay, beautiful sunsets.
We loved our stay at this house and in the Wolf Laurel community. The house was super clean and the layout was perfect for us. It is like having two houses in one. Downstairs we had our own private quarters with our own kitchen, living room, and laundry. The property is beautiful and the sunset gorgeous every night. We saw deer every day and enjoyed the corn hole on the lower deck and we ate and watched the amazing sunsets on the upper deck. Wolf Laurel is a beautiful community. We did a long hike on the AP Trail which is practically out the front door. Next time we will hike up to Big Bald on the trail which starts in Wolf Laurel.
