Rumbling Ridge borders the Green River Game Lands, a 10,000-acre tract of land preserved through a conservancy easement, and the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. On-site outings include a short hike to the Cliffs for a mountain view and the challenging Hemlock Ridge Trail that extends 0.4 miles down to the Green River. From there, link up with trails that lead you to hidden waterfalls, swimming holes, and Class V rapids in the river narrows.
