Rumbling Ridge is modern in its design, with open living space on the main level and three bedrooms on the upper level, each with its own TV and contemporary ceiling fans. Cooking is a breeze thanks to the well-equipped gourmet kitchen, and there is plenty of seating for meals with a large dining table and an island breakfast bar.

Taking it easy, explore the half-mile-long driveway which is perfect for a walk or bike ride or, create an adventure by following the challenging trails that are highlighted on the property map that is included in your reservation. Rumbling Ridge borders the Green River Game Lands, a 10,000-acre tract of land preserved through a conservancy easement, and the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. On-site outings include a short hike to the Cliffs for a mountain view and the challenging Hemlock Ridge Trail that extends 0.4 miles down to the Green River. From there, link up with trails that lead you to hidden waterfalls, swimming holes, and Class V rapids in the river narrows.

Rumbling Ridge is surrounded by an abundance of opportunities for outdoor adventures, including hiking trails, waterfalls, fly fishing spots, ziplining tours, kayak rentals, and river tubing outfitters. What an advantage to be able to go on a morning hike, see amazing waterfalls, and be back at the house by lunch. Community access points to the river and adjoining creeks include Big and Little Bradley Falls, Cove Creek, and the Green River Narrows. The area is also famous for trout fishing; nearby Fishtop Access provides river access and public parking. You're also conveniently only 14 minutes from shopping, dining, and groceries in the welcoming little town of Saluda, NC. Stop in the Historic Thompson's Store, the "oldest grocery store in North Carolina." For a fun day trip or an evening out, check out Hendersonville area attractions, including the Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site and the Flat Rock Playhouse, both 22 minutes away, or take nearby I-26 to Asheville where popular attractions such as the Biltmore Estate, nightlife, gorgeous architecture, and numerous delicious restaurants and breweries await your discovery. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Saluda and is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Asheville; at 2,070ft above sea level.

This property has many places to venture to for outdoor activities, we sincerely ask that when enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings you pick up any and all garbage to protect the flora and fauna as well as the local wildlife. We appreciate your joint efforts in sustaining nature at its finest.
• Firewood is not provided for guest use. If you plan on using the wood-burning amenities, please purchase wood locally upon arrival.

Property Cancellation Policy
Please note that this property’s Non-Refundable Period is 30 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within this period, it will be non-refundable from the time of booking. Cancellations are permitted outside of this period, per our vacation rental agreement. We encourage you to consider travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against the unknown!
