Constructed of hand-hewn logs that have been preserved since the 1850s, Lone Pine Lodge offers the feel of an old-fashioned Appalachian home. But don't let the rustic touches fool you - this comfortable cabin is equipped with modern amenities to keep you comfortable. The home's fully equipped kitchen allows you the ease of making your favorite home-cooked meals. In addition to the central heat and air guests can cozy up by the gas fireplace in the living room and watch movies on the Smart TV. If you're working from your vacation home, no problem - Lone Pine Lodge has high-speed fiber optics installed.

The 50' covered porch at Lone Pine Lodge provides a space for rain-or-shine rocking chair relaxation. Step right off of the porch and onto a hiking trail. The mile-long walk meanders through the woods to a beautiful little waterfall with an observation deck; look out, you may spot a Hobbit. This is mountain serenity at its best!

Location Details

A 30-minute drive to the south brings you to the Biltmore Estate, River Arts District, and downtown Asheville's multitude of independent dining and shopping delights. You'll also discover a wide array of nearby outdoor activities to enhance your vacation, including whitewater rafting, zip lining, fly fishing, and horseback riding. This Asheville vacation rental is located in Leicester and is approximately 30 minutes to downtown Asheville, 2,403ft above sea level.

Important Property Notes
• Due to the remoteness of the property, there is limited cell phone signal in the area. However, there is a landline available for guest use and wifi calling using the fiber optic internet.
• Seasonal Gas Fireplaces are not operational between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
• Guests must furnish their own charcoal to use the charcoal grill.

Very rustic cabin in the woods. We enjoyed the privacy of sitting on our porch in the morning and having our coffee. Wish we had seen deer or animals roaming but did not. Overall, a great experience.

An absolutely beautiful property. The pictures do not do it justice. Close enough to Asheville to go for the day, but far enough away to feel like you are away from it all. Had the most relaxing weekend!

We absolutely loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was full of charming detail, extremely clean, and comfortable. The mountain view from the porch was amazing and the surrounding area was quiet and woodsy. Every amenity that you could need was easily accessible. It was just a short trip to Asheville and other surrounding, quaint little towns. We hated to leave and are looking for our next dates to go back.

Remote Location

Really quaint cabin. We enjoyed the solitude and overall quietness of the area where we stayed. We loved the views and relative central location to a lot of different activities. We had a very positive experience with Carolina Mornings and this property - we would recommend. 5-star cleanliness and furnishings - kitchen was well stocked.
