We had a great time at the Highland Hideaway for a group of 6!
We had a great time at the Highland Hideaway for a group of 6! The property was well-equipped for everything we needed and more! It was the perfect location to be so close to everything fun in downtown Asheville but still isolated enough to feel like we had our private retreat when we were back home! I'd recommend the property and management to anyone looking into an Asheville trip! The only thing I'd note would be to make sure you have the instructions on how to arrive and locate the property, especially if you're arriving after dark! GPS can be hit or miss.

I'd highly recommend this house for anyone looking for some time away from it all!
The house was beautiful, surrounded by peaceful quiet woods, and plenty of room for 10 comfortably. The hot tub worked perfectly, the solo stove fire pit was great, and the house was full of games and supplies for a long weekend. I'd highly recommend this house for anyone looking for some time away from it all, without sacrificing comfort.

Enjoyed our stay here.
Enjoyed our stay here. There were six of us Plenty of space. The kitchen is well equipped and a very quiet and peaceful spot. Saw a bear twice strolling in the backyard but didn’t bother us. Definitely would stay here again.

Wonderful house nestled on a hillside in the Southslope area.
Wonderful house nestled on a hillside in the Southslope area. Easy access to downtown. Very quiet spot but just a few minutes to everything you need. Management is super-easy to work with. Will be back!

Everything was clean and orderly.
This was a great house. Everything was clean and orderly. We had everything we needed. The TVs were tricky to use but they came over and helped us. Although it’s not in an isolated area, it can be very difficult to find because of the winding roads and the GPS doesn’t get you right to the door. They were proactive in providing written directions but we still had trouble the first time. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we would stay here again.

We enjoyed this stay.
We enjoyed this stay. The only complaint I can think of is the driveway being steep and the location being hard to find on a map.

It’s modern and well furnished.
It’s modern and well furnished. I thought the mattresses were fantastic. There’s not much to see but it’s like forest bathing. Up a steep driveway so you need to be able to handle severe inclines.

This house is perfect for our pups and family!
We had a wonderful time in Asheville and at this house that is perfect for our pups and family while we were in town for a wedding. Beware - we saw bears almost every day! The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the hot tub was soothing.

I stayed with a group of friends and the house is absolutely beautiful inside and out.
I stayed with a group of friends and the house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The views are amazing. I love that it’s secluded, but also a 15-20 minute drive to downtown. It is just as pictured and one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed. The kitchen is very well stocked with anyone you might need. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Very spacious and has plenty of room for kids of all ages. Nice outdoor space. A few more comfortable seats in the living room would have been nice. The kitchen was a good size and well stocked. Driveway is a monster!! Would not stay here in the winter because of it. But fantastic otherwise!

The house was perfect for 10 people and exactly what we needed for a fun extended weekend.
Booked the house as we had a wedding in Ashville. The house was perfect for 10 people and exactly what we needed for a fun extended weekend. The location of the house feels like it is in the middle of the woods but in actuality, it is less than 10 minutes from downtown and the venue we needed to get to. We didn’t feel like we were on top of each other but definitely had close friends time. Love that it had 4 full bathrooms for each room and that we were all able to comfortably hang out in the common areas. We definitely will look to book this house again as I am sure we will have more Asheville weddings. Thanks for making a fun friends weekend even better!

The house is also huge with plenty of space for a group to spread out.
This was such a beautiful private house tucked away from everything but still only 5 minutes from local hot spots! Saw black bears in the drive early in the mornings. The house is also huge with plenty of space for a group to spread out.

Everything else was wonderful
Beautiful property and home! Immaculate and perfect space for our two families to share. We loved the solo stove and the hot tub and got really great use out of both. The oversized dining table is as well. The driveway was very steep and on a rainy day, our friends with a camper van could not get their camper van up to the top, because of slick pavement and spinning tires. We worked it out though. Everything else was wonderful

Overall, we loved the house and would absolutely stay here again.
Great home. 10 of us stayed here for a men’s weekend and there was plenty of room. The home was clean and well-maintained. Probably the best thing about the property is how close it is to downtown and how quiet and secluded you are. Overall, we loved the house and would absolutely stay here again.

The house is nice and on the side of a mountain.
Great location less than 10 minutes to downtown and south slope. The house is nice and on the side of a mountain so it feels tucked away and secluded even though there are other houses around.

Great location.
Great location - close to a twin, but far enough for plenty of privacy. Grocery is within 5 miles. Good amenities and it had everything we needed to prepare all our meals. The fire pit and hot tub were nice additions.

Great ‘remote but close’ place!
This was a great place. It was clean and well-appointed. The beautiful woods are feet from the windows. The location was great. You felt like you were in the remote woods, but you were a short drive to just about anywhere in Asheville. It was very quiet. We were warned in the materials, but you need an all-wheel drive vehicle to get up the driveway…even when it’s dry. We had a rear-wheel SUV and struggled.

Wonderful Little House
Highland Hideaway is a wonderful little house. When you're there, it gives you the feeling that you're deep in the woods, because you're surrounded by wonderful trees on all sides, and just far enough from the main road that you can enjoy the silence and peace of the woods, but it's close enough to town, that you can be in shops and restaurants within a 5 minute drive. On the evening we checked in, I needed a supermarket and there are two Whole Foods within 1.5 miles of Highland Hideaway. The house is kept very clean, and everything works. The kitchen is stocked with anything you might need to stay in and prepare a meal, or even bake cookies. My only recommendation would be to add window treatments in the master bedroom: when morning comes around the room is filled with natural light, and it's very difficult to sleep in (which some like to do while on vacation). Carolina Mornings seems to be an excellent management company - they responded immediately to our inquiry during our stay. We spent a memorable Christmas with our kids at this little house.

Great location! Private yet a 5-minute drive to downtown. House is open and airy, nice floor plan, and spacious rooms. Check-in was easy. The driveway is very steep, but still navigable in a car.

Mom's 80th Birthday!
We had a fabulous stay here for my mom's 80th birthday. Very tranquil setting once you get up the hill. Definitely need to be able to walk stairs to enter. House was very stylish and well-appointed. Wonderful sheets and bedding. No compromise on a dog-friendly place. The dog towels and bowls were a nice touch. Everyone enjoyed having their own space and bathroom (kids space and bunks downstairs), yet the common areas and deck allowed for gathering and family fun. 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville, and close to area hiking. We used Carolina Morning's arrangement to get one free pass on rafting in Madison County, and rafting company was excellent. All around good value for our stay. Would definitely rent again.

Very Close to Downtown
Such a cute home in an incredible location! Very close to downtown, grocery stores, etc. The driveway is pretty steep- be careful backing down the driveway!

Perfect Place for Groups
This property was the perfect place for our group. It's close to downtown Asheville while still feeling secluded and out in the woods. The house is a good size so you don't feel on top of each other and the beds were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and having the backyard area to hang out. I'd highly recommend this property to future groups!
