This was a peaceful place to stay for the week as a family. The mountain scenery, even in late March, was beautiful. Plan your grocery run as it’s not a quick and easy drive down the mountain but it was worth the peaceful setting and the view to get there. It is also good proximity to Great Smoky National Park and Pisgah National Forest for some amazing hiking and waterfalls for some day trips.

It was perfect for our college friend group girl trips! Perfectly fit 8 people comfortably with extra room to spare. Everything looked exactly like the photos and the amenities made the stay great. They also did a fantastic job of reaching out to us about all the information that could be helpful, as well as things to do nearby and local companies that could help us. A great place to stay for a getaway. At the top of a mountain secluded from everyone it's a nice quiet place to relax or have fun. I recommend a rental car if you are going to stay here.

The cabin was private and peaceful with wonderful views of the mountains. The hot tub was great as well. The place was clean and had all the necessary amenities, including lots of kitchen equipment for cooking. It was a somewhat long drive up steep mountain gravel roads, so it may be difficult to access in the winter/rain without a vehicle that can handle that.

The property was spacious and comfortable, exactly as advertised. The drive to get up to the top of the mountain is challenging but totally worth it. The views are great, we saw deer and turkey near the house. We would stay here again for sure.

Serene beautiful, heavenly....those are just a few words to describe your charming property here. For this chaotic family of ours ( 4 kiddos, all under 8), one being a newborn, we needed this more than words can say. Nice and clean cabin with well equipped kitchen. Downstairs King size bed is really comfortable for people like firm mattress. There are so many beds that everyone of us had a great sleep. Bed sheets, pillow cases and bath towels are clean and well folded. Neighbor has a very friendly dog. We had a great time playing with the dog on the wrap around porch.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! Since years we have been booking Airbnb. This property was one of the higher cost ones - but worth every penny if you want peace, silence, relaxation, a breathtaking view from your huge porch, a super clean property, fully stocked kitchen, great location (35 min drive to Ashville / 45min to Biltmore Estate etc), hiking, nature (saw wild turkey in our yard) ... I could keep going on and on. YES ... this was exactly what we hoped for and envisioned !! Well ... maybe even more !! We probably go back ... !!

This was such a beautiful home to stay in. Magical mornings on the deck. Rocking while listening to birds sing and staring at the Smokies. Could there be a more beautiful place in this country? This was definitely a great stay. It was plenty spacious for our family of 5. The little ones loved the loft space, and our eldest enjoyed having the 1st floor bedroom. The home was well appointed, and we made use of the hot tub. It was nice just lounging in the tub in the cool evening after a good hike, taking in the view of the Smokies in the early evening.

"Our family came together for Thanksgiving week and enjoyed the accommodations of this mountaintop retreat. We visited the Biltmore Estate for the candlelight tour took a family picture session. We also had a perfect time at the NC Arboretum. The house was warm and cozy for Thanksgiving as nieces and nephews ran all over the property playing soccer, hiking, frisbee, and soaking in the hot tub. As we finished the went we went into Maggie Valley which gave us hiking, skiing, and waterfalls to round out our family trip. "This place was really beautiful. Just as a heads up, it is quite literally on the top of the mountain, a pretty steep 15 ish minute incline. A couple of my friends have very small cars and made it up just fine but I definitely would recommend an SUV without a doubt. The views were beautiful and it was really quiet and serene. A very easy drive to Asheville once off of the mountain. It is definitely a well kept home and all of the furniture is VERY comfortable, beds, couches, everything. 10/10 would stay again despite being stressed driving up that mountain at night LOL."

The house was clean and well furnished. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. The outdoor area was amazing and the views were spectacular. My favorite area of the property was the outdoor area and the views! Beautiful koi pond...my kids loved it!

"This property is exquisite. We never expected to be on top of a mountain but there we were! Every inch of the cabin is usable space. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Every room has a little gas fire feature which we loved. The downstairs master ""suite"" with den and private bath was a great little escape from the rest. We loved the porch, rocking chairs and outdoor table. We loved the amount of towels/linens that we had for the hot tub and showers. The property's hot tub and koi pond just made this place a little piece of heaven. We were joking that we were living in a fairy tale because when we'd go outside, the bunnies, hummingbirds and frogs would all be dancing around us. The view from the home is spectacular - couldn't take our eyes off it and when we did, we felt guilty and would go back out and look again. The wi-fi was great, the television with DirectTV was fantastic and the fire pit and wood stove were used constantly. Overall this is the best cabin ever and it made us feel like we wanted to buy it! I hope to return with my kids on another occasion."

We had a great week here in NC. The views were spectacular when it was clear. The ride up the mountain was pretty hairy in the dark & fog. We did the Flying Bike Tour of Asheville - Brian was great; we visited the Biltmore Estate - beautiful; we went on a tubing ride down the Green River. The food was wonderful - many different cuisines to choose from. People were very friendly. This is a beautiful home!

"We are so thankful you have opened up your home - it is truly a retreat by definition. We all agree another stay is a must, perhaps with the children next time; we think they would enjoy the setting. Being from the midlands in SC, the weather here feels more like March or April - absolutely perfect! "I absolutely love it here! It is so relaxing and a great place to stay. The view is incredible, and even in the hot tub it's better looking at the view.
