Castlewood Retreat

This was a Christmas gift to my adult children and their partners. We had such a good time we will do another family trip next year. It is a gift when your children still enjoy vacationing together.

This place was amazing, had everything we needed, the house and rooms were pristine and the hot tub was clean and well maintained. The views were fantastic and in the mountains. The neighbors were friendly and even their dogs would come up and hang out with you

Great accommodations! Weaverville is just a short drive away and has a good variety of stores and grocery options. The local manager was very responsive and helpful even at nighttime check-in. Only 20 minutes to downtown Asheville and such a great value!

The bedrooms were perfect, really appreciated the comfortable beds and TVs equipped with Roku. The property was the perfect size for our group and was equipped with everything we needed.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home, with nice big rooms and comfy beds. My kids loved the large tub. In a neighborhood but still in the country with sheep down the road. A quick drive to Asheville.

Well-kept home and property. Nice layout and large kitchen and dining room for families. Our children enjoyed the recreation room. Two issues we had were ants on the property inside the kitchen and one of the upstairs bedrooms & communication regarding garbage disposal/removal at the end of the stay. Would stay here again!

Booking with Carolina Mornings was great to work with. They always responded right away to any questions I had. The house was very clean and in a great location. The neighborhood was quiet and had great walking areas with beautiful scenery.

My friends and I had the best weekend stay. The house was beautiful and spacious. Our favorite part was the game room upstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked and clean as well.

This house was very spacious and modern. We loved every room in the house. My whole family enjoyed the stay there. Also a great Plus!! because they allow you to have your dog there with you.

This vacation home is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway within reach of many outdoor activities. It has plenty of room and beds for up to 12 people with spacious kitchen, living room, and dining room areas. Located in a small quiet neighborhood on top of a mountain ridge, it has an amazing view from the front porch and windows. The surrounding area is great for a long walk through rolling hills with a 3 mile loop. The living room is very cozy and welcoming with a gas fireplace and large comfy couch. Every bedroom has a large flat screen TV, including a fun game room with another comfy couch and foosball table. WiFi was fast and reliable during our stay. The dining room table has bench seating for about 10 people. Each bedroom has plenty of closet and dresser space to neatly tuck away everyone’s belongings. There are so many things to do nearby, including plenty of hikes, skiing, tubing, shopping, restaurants, and great breweries and local pubs for beer lovers. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

We had a great time and enjoyed the well-furnished, super-comfortable house with amazing views! Well stocked kitchen, fire pit with chairs, and comfortable beds. Short drive into downtown Asheville, but remote enough to experience plenty of quiet and see the fireflies.

My husband and I stayed at Castlewood 2 weeks ago today. I just loved it from the moment I first arrived. The house is so beautiful and spacious, the kitchen was big enough for us to cook and eat. All the windows bring in so much light. The master bedroom is wonderful, with a walk-in closet and full bathroom with a huge spa tub. The best part were the views. We could see the Blue Ridge Mountains from our bed. I often sat on the front porch to read or work and it was very peaceful and beautiful to see the mountains at the same time. I also loved the back area with a picnic table, which provided another location to work. It was a quick 20 minute drive to Asheville and even closer drive to downtown Weaverville with cute shops and restaurants. If you want to get away and relax and forget about life for a while while enjoying beautiful North Carolina, then I highly recommend this house on Castlewood.

This vacation home is a gem! Located on the top of a ridge with vast mountain views, it is a wonderful balance of nature without being too far from town. Great wifi, nice fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable throughout. Only 20 minutes from Asheville so if you want a city fix it is right there. Highly recommended!

I stayed in this house during a vacation with 8 other people and it was a blast! There was plenty of room for everybody and the dining room especially was a beautiful room where we had our thanksgiving dinner. The front yard and porch as well were perfect for throwing around a football and then watching the sunset. Great place to stay if you are looking to vacation in Asheville!

We stayed here for a week during Thanksgiving break - we were 2 families. We never felt crowded. The kids had the upstairs hang-out room to keep them busy having fun. My favorite space was sitting outside on the front porch, just enjoying the quiet peace and the fresh mountain air. The view is remarkable! Actually, every window in the whole house has a beautiful relaxing view of the mountains in the distance. It felt very far away from any city life, but we were also were close by shopping centers and restaurants. So it was the perfect mixture in that way. I enjoyed my daily walks to say hello to the sheep at the bottom of the neighborhood! What worked great for us was the open floor plan by the kitchen and family room. We had a movie playing while snacks could be grabbed and it just felt very cozy - all of us together - which is exactly what we craved for a holiday week together. Hiking by day, and a movie all together at night. We got to toast marshmallows at the fire pit for dessert. Enjoy your visit!

This house was so peacful and serene on top of a hill with long range views of the blue ridge mountains. It was such a nice escape for our family. The house was very comfortable and convenient to all the necessary shopping, and also close to downtown Asheville or mountain hiking and exploring in the surriounding areas. It's also very close to Weaverville, which is a nice little town with a cute downtown with nice restaurants and some art galleries. Very good choice! Enjoy.

This house was great! It was very comfortable, convenient to shops, outdoor activies and to downtown Asheville. The long range views and fresh air surrounding the property was so peaceful and refreshing! Just what we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked, beautiful dining room and huge laundry facility. To top it off, all the bedroom furniture was brand new with brand new mattresses and linens. And the little sheep farm on the way up to the house was a very nice surprise! Highly recommend this home.
