Blue Ridge Getaway

Peaceful and relaxing setting at a well-maintained property. After reading other reviews that mentioned issues with the lighting in the hot tub area, jets not working, rickety outdoor furniture, etc. we were slightly suspect about what we'd encounter. With a little pre-planning like bringing a portable lamp and taking a moment to read the thorough instructions in the guest portal, we were very pleased with our stay. The setting was beautiful, the property was in good condition, and numerous usable amenities in the home. Great proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. Would recommend this stay to others!

The front porch was very nice for enjoying a cup of coffee. Very quiet and peaceful.

What a great getaway in the mountain woods. The place was very clean. The bedrooms were charming and the hot tu b relaxing. Our visits to Asheville and the Biltmore were great. Even get to visit the horse barn at the Estate - loved it! Overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway were breathtaking. Thanks you very much!

Gorgeous views and a beautiful place that is tastefully decorated, well stocked, and well laid out to accommodate group needs. Everything is described as advertised. I can say the hot tub is great. Highly recommended.

The cabin is cozy and very private. It is a great location since it is not too far from downtown Asheville. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great time here. We loved the house/cabin in the woods. It was beautiful sitting on the porch. We went on adventures every day and came back and went in the hot tub each night.

This cabin is as described- spotlessly clean, well appointed and blissfully quiet. We enjoyed our long weekend away. As others have mentioned, the driveway is steep!! So arriving in daylight recommended and we had no issues in our Volvo XC wagon. Not sure if our other car would have made it in the rain. We brought our own kindling and purchased wood at one of the local gas stations to enjoy the fireplace every night. Our dog had a blast chasing sticks and sniffing all the smells. After a day of hiking it was nice to relax in the hot tub and cook our own dinner and drink wine whilst enjoying the fire. We were only 2 ppl and a dog so didn’t even go upstairs but it would work well for a family for sure.

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs - here are some great things we found: Pros - Quiet neighborhood - Homes immediately adjacent are nice, quiet as well - Cute, clean home - 20-25 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate - Comfortable bed - Perfect written directions - Reliable WiFi - Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion provided - VCR and DVDs available - No issues getting into the house - Comfortable seating. It's older, but comfy

We had an amazing trip! This place is not too far from Asheville and hikes. It was our first time traveling out of state after quarantine. We hiked Mt. Pisgah & Catawba Falls. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing time. It was really beautiful and the views were incredible. Thank you for everything. p.s. check out looking glass falls. We all needed this trip for the boys. The air and woods are very relaxing especially when you live on the beach and see tourists everyday. It's just great to get away from that and the Jacuzzi was amazing.

"We ran away from COVID-19 and escaped to the mountain cabin in the woods! We hiked 7 miles and were rewarded with a view I will hope to see again in my dreams. I even wrote a country song about it ""Got some good good love; drank some cold cold beer; on top of the mountain today; man you can't beat these views; grab your girl and some booze; life in the Smokies!"" p.s. the song is already copyrighted!! Biltmore was awesome too!"

Awesome location about 20 mins or so from downtown Asheville! Driveway is steep and can get slippery when wet and I would imagine difficult if there is ice on the driveway. The house and hot tub were very clean and we had a great stay!

"The cabin was clean and as expected. The very steep driveway was intimidating at first but ended up being fine with our Subaru. Those with small cars beware! It's a bit outside of Asheville if you're planning on spending much time in the city but took no more than 25 minutes to get downtown. The hot tub was a nice addition, but if you have more than 4 adults it will be a bit of a squeeze. Overall everything was clean and orderly and just what we needed. "

Canton and Asheville are beautiful places. We spent two nights in the cabin and enjoyed every bit of it. The hot tub was amazing. Pretty view of the area. Lots of tools in the place for a stay. This was a great experience and we thank you for having us.

"What a great weekend! My wife and I came up for a weekend birthday weekend getaway for her birthday and it's been wonderful! The cabin was perfect, we will for sure come back and next time bring our children - plenty of room. the hot tub was great, very relaxing after lots of walking. Some of our highlights were going to Black Mountain and having a food tour with Creative Mountain Food Tours. I can't say enough about how much fun that was. We also enjoyed taking a hot air balloon ride, the view from 2400' was amazing, taking a few hard hits to the basket by some tree ""tops"" we could have done without but was a great experience nonetheless. Biltmore was breathtaking. We will for sure go back and spend more time there. To the owners of this cabin - thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful mountain home. We found a true mountain gem in this place."

"Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful time here. We visited Biltmore and went white water rafting on the French Broad. We went gem mining, shopped in downtown Hendersonville, and the Renovation Cafe you recommended was excellent. The mountain scenery is beautiful here and hope to be back soon. "We stayed at the cabin for two lovely weeks. Hiked, every day, great access to the Blue Ridge and plenty of swimming holes and waterfalls. Hiked Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, and many moor. Waynesville one of our favorite small towns we visited as well as Asheville. Go to Bouchon! Great restaurant! Thank you for allowing us the use of your cabin. Our two kids and dog had a great time playing outside. As always, we will be back to NC. Many thanks."

"Thank you fro a lovely stay. Cabin is beautiful and fit our every need. The driveway is a thrill ride in and of itself! It’s always an adventure when we visit this area. So much to do. Horseback riding at Queen’s Stables in Maggie Valley is a must. Dinner at Butts on the Creek in Maggie Valley is Highly Recommended. Best BB! in NC! As always, a visit to the Biltmore Estate is always breathtaking. My boys thought they were somebody enjoying their “wine” - grape juice - in their newly purchased Biltmore glass while relaxing in the hot tub. Hope to be back soon. "

"Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations here at Blue Ridge Getaway. As a family we enjoyed many things such as strolling downtown Asheville and playing at Splashville. We also liked hiking and taking in the sights at the Arboretum. Most of all, we enjoyed our time together in the cabin. Like many others, we were greeted by wild turkeys and other small wildlife. We also found the driveway to be an interesting point in our stay. We felt very at home, and made awesome memories. Thanks for everything "
