Big Rock Candy Mountain

We go to Rumbling Bald at least once a year and this is one of the best if not the best house we’ve stayed in. It is so beautiful with a gorgeous view. It was clean, spacious, and laid out well. We specifically choose homes with hot tubs and this one has a great one! The downstairs has a bunk room with an arcade game and mini air hockey and there’s a downstairs family room with a pool table. The kitchen table had enough room for everyone and there were lots of baby supplies including baby gates available. We loved the aesthetic - it’s decorated beautifully! The beds were comfortable. It was convenient having access to the garage which is where the trash can is kept- unavailable to wildlife! Also loved being able to use the golf cart- that was a great bonus. We had a couple of very minor issues and the host was very responsive. Would stay there again!

It was a great time to gather with friends. We have known for over 50 years! The coffee on the deck with an incredible view was sweet! Super clean! A few days to pause from the day-to-day and enjoy!

The home is very nice and spacious, it was perfect for our couples' trip. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which were located on separate floors which was great! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything (and more) that was needed to prepare meals. The grill was also nice. We loved the upper deck and fire pit! The deck was spacious, clean, and peaceful. We also enjoyed the golf cart! The Rumbling Bald Resort amenities that come with the home were great! The house is great and the few issues we had with the home can be fixed with a good cleaning. I would recommend this house!

We were two families traveling together and we had plenty of room for everyone. The home was even better than the photos in the listing. We loved the view and the peaceful location. We all really enjoyed the community and all its amenities. Our only problem was that we didn’t want to leave! Great place, would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 8 had ample room to enjoy the home. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking needs. The couches were comfortable. Plenty of lighting, and fans helped keep the area cool with circulation. Resort amenities were a big plus. Although it was too hot to enjoy the outside of the home, it looked nice and well-maintained. Fall would be a better visit perhaps.

My family and extended family from out of state gathered here for a week's vacation. It was absolutely perfect in every aspect. Plenty of room to spread out. The place was beautiful inside and out. The views are amazing, the location peaceful, and with plenty to do to entertain every one of various ages. The professionalism of Carolina Mornings was top-notch. This was by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. Definitely will plan to return to this location and with Carolina Mornings.

Awesome house!! The views are great with lots of good gathering areas and entertainment spaces. The house was very well stocked, especially with kitchen tools. It’s the perfect place for a mountain getaway!

Beautiful home with gorgeous views in a lovely mountain resort community. Wonderful place for a family getaway. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with everything we could want to cook our meals. Lots of room to spread out. The great game room that we took full advantage of, with a hot tub just steps away. It was just what we needed.

We came up here with out multigenerational family to celebrate the holidays and being together. This home was the perfect backdrop to creating unforgettable memories of our special time together. Family dinners around the beautiful live edge table, movie time snuggled up around the stone fire place, beers out on the deck while the kids and grandparents soaked in the hot tub... all while enjoying the most epic views of the mountains. This place is seriously, seriously special and I'm so thankful we found it. 10 out of 10. Would 100% stay here again!

The house was great for a mountain getaway with family. It has a gorgeous view of Bald Mountain, that can be seen from most rooms. It is close to all the amenities. The kitchen was well equipped which made eating in a breeze. It was clean when we arrived. Golf cart is NOT included, which we were bummed about. $90 a day seemed high for the rental fee. Other than that, we highly recommend. We will definitely return!

Place was great! Views are amazing. It was about an hour from Biltmore which was a pretty drive. It’s a beautiful resort area that has a lot to offer for the whole family. Beds were comfortable and house was super cozy. Loved the views from the living room!

Beautiful home, exactly as described. Cooked every night & kitchen was fully stocked w anything we could possibly need. Private but close to resort amenities. Lovely view. Plenty of seating for whole family to spend time together on deck, inside watching movies, or playing pool. Enjoyed going down to the lakefront, especially in evenings! Pool area was awesome & we took advantage of both the indoor pool & outdoor pool, as well as the lazy river. Refreshments were available by the pool. Some of our group used the gym & fitness trail. Grocery store located about 10-15 mins away. Thoroughly loved our time here & would definitely stay again!

The kitchen was very nice. It was nice to have so many dishes, pots and pans etc. We absolutely loved the view and the comfort of the living areas and the beds. The extra fuzzy blankets were very nice to have. Our favorite part of our stay was probably relaxing on the comfy couch and enjoying the view of the mountain. I also enjoyed sitting on the decks and girl time in the hot tub with my daughter and daughter in law!
