SoCon Basketball Returns to Asheville!

We are excited that the NCAA March Madness Tournament is right around the corner! But first, the road to the NCAA Tournament in Minneapolis starts in Asheville, North Carolina. It will be a well-fought battle, and then the winner of the Southern Conference (SoCon) Basketball Championship will punch their ticket to the grand-daddy of them all: the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

When and Where

The 2019 SoCon Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held at The U.S. Cellular Center on March 7, 2019, through March 11, 2019!

The U.S. Cellular Center, located in Downtown Asheville, is close to plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, and historical buildings. The tournament brings folks from North & South Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Virginia. Tournament play starts Thursday, March 7th and runs until Monday, March 11, 2019. The championship game for the Women's tournament is Sunday, March 10th at 12 pm. The Men's championship game will be on Monday, March 11th at 7 pm (also being aired Live on ESPN).
