Village of Cheshire Cabins - Cardinal's Cove

Great location near a lot of hiking. Close enough to Asheville. Was super cool since we saw black bears in the neighborhood. Love that it was dog-friendly and the restaurants nearby were nice to go to when we didn’t want to drive. The grocery store was a 4-minute drive and everything in town was super close.

We loved the area and very nice neighborhood with beautiful gardens. Needed some more cookware lots of skillets. We will be back. Also, all the neighbors were very friendly. Along with the host too!

The area is beautiful. The chalet was warm and cozy. To go to the bedroom you had to go outside and down the stairs. It had coffee enough for 3 days and salt and pepper.

We absolutely loved Cheshire Village and the whole town of Black Mountain. The cabin was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. The bedroom downstairs was pretty basic but the cozy upstairs living space and porch were lovely. The Village was so easy to walk around and enjoy the scenery and restaurants. Also very convenient to Asheville for other activities. Had to reach out to Carolina Mornings for access to their check-in portal and the customer service was great. Would definitely come back.

This was a great find for a last-minute weekend trip! You can easily walk over to Black Bear Tavern or a Sushi restaurant for dinner and it's a <5 minutes to downtown.

Great place to stay! The location in Black Mountain is excellent. A little tricky to find, but great once you get there. Be aware that there is a very steep staircase that you must climb in order to access the property. Very clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We will be back!

There's nothing quite like listening to a stream right outside the door! The porch is lovely. The dogs loved all the places to explore right there in the Village of Cheshire. And we loved all the places to explore in nearby Black Mountain. While the cabin is surrounded by other homes, it feels very private, tucked in the trees up a steep set of stone stairs. I guess I'd call the place quirky.

We are from Miami. First time in NC and Asheville. First time in a cabin. Pretty amazing. The cabin was beautiful and in a good location close to everything we needed. We loved it and would stay again.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin for our family vacation to Black Mountain. We loved making a fire in the evenings after getting back from hikes and breweries. We also took advantage of the Mountain Discovery pass that came with the listing to get a free pass to the Biltmore, which was a great added value! As other reviewers have noted, we thought the design of the house with the bedroom accessible only by going outside was a bit odd, but ultimately it didn't affect us during our stay.

This cozy cabin in Cheshire Village was a hit for the kids in a snow storm. They can get out and explore and you can hear them playing from the porches. The beds and linens were very comfortable and clean. The jetted tub was also very nice. We will visit again and again.

The property is beautiful! Loved the babbling brook, the walk around the neighborhood and the walk to the Black Bear Tavern. Oh, and being able to build a fire all 3 days was so great! We wanted to be in a 'log cabin in the woods' and we truly were!!! We would LOVE to come back.

We enjoyed staying in Black Mountain. The neighborhood is beautiful, welcoming, and with great hiking spots. Our fido loved it here. Food at Que Sera and Trailhead was delicious. We hope to come back in a different season of the year.

The main floor and outside were out of a magazine gorgeous - to die for. I felt like I was wrapped in warm wood. I had a wonderful time. We had a positive experience with Carolina Mornings and this property - we would recommend. 5-star cleanliness and bedding - kitchen was well stocked.
