Such a great cabin and better than expected!
Such a great cabin and better than expected! Loved the location so close to downtown also! The walk to the cabin was steep but was expected based on the listing. We will stay here again!

Would stay here again.
I was in Black Mountain for a conference and this was the perfect setting and location to stay offsite. It was convenient to everything Black Mountain (which we loved) had to offer and The Blue Ridge Assembly where the conference was located. Would stay here again.

Perfectly located mountain cabin.
Perfectly located mountain cabin. Spacious with great views of the mountains in an exclusive neighborhood. Private but not isolated and easy to get to Asheville.

I liked the size and the interior design of the cabin.
I liked the size and the interior design of the cabin. The price was right as well. I also liked how close it was to downtown Black Mountain. The community was quaint as well, although I didn’t visit any shops or eateries because my stay was so short.

Peaceful and well-thought-out area.
Close by everything but yet had the feel of being surrounded by nature. Peaceful and well-thought-out area.

Max, Posey, and I had a lovely time. Posey loved the porch, and swimming in the river downtown. Thanks for the getaway!

Great little cabin for a getaway weekend that was also sort of a staycation.
Great little cabin for a getaway weekend that was also sort of a staycation. I think the red sofa has been redeemed with good vibes. Loved the porches and the feeling of being outside with all the windows and greenery right there. Had a hard, but rewarding hike to Lookout Mountain and then extended on some connection trails. Explored some old and new restaurants. Also a great place for the pup. Thanks for sharing a beautiful and comfy cabin!

It was a great few days away in the mountains.
We had a lovely time at this simple cabin. The location was great to access Black Mountain, Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Lake Lure. It was terrific to have my dogs with us, too, since so much in the area is dog friendly. As others have mentioned, it is a very high step up to enter the cabin. Very high and awkward especially as it could be easily fixed. The road is also almost directly under the cabin so you do hear the road noise but we didn’t mind it too much. Just that you won’t feel like you’re away from civilization. Still, it was a great few days away in the mountains.

The cabin serves as a great escape from town and modern life!
Chickadees Hatch in the Village of Cheshire is a great getaway spot. Conveniently located near town and the interstate. The cabin itself was lovely and fit all of our needs. It is tucked away at the end of the cabin village so pay close attention to the directions. The walking trail nearby was an excellent find. The town is full of friendly locals and travelers alike. The cabin serves as a great escape from town and modern life when visiting the Asheville area.

We had a lovely trip and the cabin was wonderful!
We had a lovely trip and the cabin was wonderful! We went on some great hikes and saw some cool views. We even saw live music at Sierra Nevada Brewery and ate ice cream sandwiches. We'll be back soon!

We Arrived in Time for Sunset Over the Mountains
Just arrived this evening and so far everything is delightful! We arrived just in time to enjoy the sunset over the mountains, and have enjoyed little walks with our pup. The cabin is so comfortable and homey - we are looking forward to our visit to one of our favorite areas - the NC Mountains!

Great Getaway
Loved the cabin and the location! The only drawback is that the parking area where you unload your car is currently a big mud bog. The community needs to fill in the ruts that were made by truck tires and then spread new gravel over the entire area. Other than that, awesome cabin!

Will Come Back Again!
Very clean, nice place, location perfect for all areas of Ashville. Only negatives is that in the dark would be nice if cabin entrances were marked along lighted path.

"We had a nice getaway at Chickadee's Hatch! We wanted a social-distancing getaway, and Chickadee's Hatch was perfect! The cabin was spacious and clean with all of the basics we needed for our 5-night stay. The village of Cheshire is beautiful and walkable, and we took some walks through the cabin trails and splashed in the creek. The walk to and from the Overflow parking lot was a bit steep, but we got used to it! It was exactly what we needed as a quiet getaway and would definitely consider going back again in the future."

"Chickadee Cottage was a great layout & a rustic Frank Lloyd Wright feel. The access makes it a little interesting, but we were warned of this prior to our visit. Great food in the area and able to find some great rides including the Blue ridge on our tandem."

Lovely stay and beautiful complex! Unit was well equipped and bed was comfortable. Was surprised at how early many of the shops and restaurants closed. Sushi was excellent!

"My husband and I spent a week here for our honeymoon and it was by far the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. If you are a big reader, there are several places (both indoors and out) that make great places to curl up and get lost in a book. We both highly recommend!!"
